Can I bring my own cosmetic formula for commercial manufacturing?

Yes. If your company owns an established cosmetic formula, our technical team executes a streamlined technology transfer. We first formulate a pilot bench sample for analytical review and specification verification. Once approved, the formula is compounded on our industrial mixing equipment strictly adhering to your exact parameters.

Can ALFA MFG develop custom formulations or match existing benchmarks?

Yes. Our in-house cosmetic chemists formulate bespoke solutions from scratch or benchmark-match market leaders across haircare, skincare, and bath & body categories. Clients provide a target benchmark or performance brief, and our lab builds target prototypes matching desired texture, viscosity, active performance, and clean beauty standards.

Are proven stock formulations available for private label branding?

Yes. We maintain an audited catalog of over 1,000 market-proven stock formulations across hair styling, treatment systems, clinical skincare, and luxury body washes. These products can be ordered immediately with your branding or customized with specialty hero extracts, custom fragrances, or functional actives.

What is the cost for custom laboratory formulation?

Custom formulation begins with an upfront lab development fee of $500 to $1,000 USD depending on formula complexity and the scope of active ingredient testing. This development fee is 100% credited back toward your commercial purchase order upon reaching minimum order quantities.

What is the turnaround time for initial prototype samples?

Initial laboratory prototypes are completed and shipped within 2 to 4 weeks of receiving your product brief and development deposit. Most projects finalize their commercial target within 1 to 3 iterative sample rounds.

How does your on-site salon validation work for haircare products?

Unlike contract manufacturers that rely solely on external panels, ALFA MFG maintains a dedicated, fully-licensed professional salon inside our Miami production facility. During formulation, professional stylists evaluate glide, foam density, wet-combability, tensile strength, and sensory performance on diverse hair types against leading professional salon benchmarks. Results feed directly back to our chemists in the same building on the same day.

What are ALFA MFG's standard production MOQs?

Production minimum order quantities are established per SKU based on primary filling tooling and container volume parameters:

Container Format Volume Range Standard Production MOQ
Unit Sachets & Packets 5 ml – 15 ml 10,000 units
Bottles & Cosmetic Jars 10 ml – 2 oz (60 ml) 5,000 units
Luxury Skincare Serums & Elixirs 10 ml – 2 oz (60 ml) 2,500 units
Bottles, Jars & Flexible Tubes 2.1 oz – 8 oz (240 ml) 2,500 units
High-Capacity Bottles & Pumps 8.1 oz – 32 oz (1 liter) 2,500 units
Bulk Backbar & Professional Refills 128 oz (1 Gallon / 3.8 L) 480 units
Do you supply stock packaging components?

Yes. We inventory versatile packaging components on-site, including airless pump bottles, amber dropper vials, luxury glass and acrylic jars, and HDPE/PET bottles. We also maintain strategic alliances with leading domestic and international packaging manufacturers for custom component sourcing.

Can international clients supply their own packaging?

Yes. Clients can arrange freight delivery of their own primary and secondary packaging to our facility, whether pre-labeled or unlabeled. Before scheduling commercial filling, our engineering team inspects sample components to verify torque compatibility, neck finish dimensions, and fill-line calibration.

Do you support secondary assembly, retail kits, and folding cartons?

Yes. Our packaging lines handle unit folding carton assembly, multi-SKU retail gift set packing, batch serialization, tamper-evident shrink bands, and high-speed multi-pack shrink wrapping.

Can ALFA MFG develop custom molds and proprietary packaging?

Yes. We collaborate with precision tooling facilities to produce proprietary blow molds, custom bottle geometries, and distinct embossed closures for brands creating bespoke brand silhouettes.

What pressure-sensitive labeling equipment do you operate?

Our automated labeling suites apply wrap labels to cylinders, precision front-and-back labels on oval or square bottles, and top-and-bottom tamper seals on jars. We partner with vetted high-resolution flexographic and digital label converters to guarantee oil-resistant, water-proof barrier finishes.

Do you offer direct container screen printing and hot stamping?

Yes. Direct silkscreen printing and metallic hot-foil stamping are available for bottles, jars, and tubes through our direct manufacturing networks and domestic finishing partners, providing premium tactile aesthetics for luxury beauty lines.

Do you have automated full-body shrink sleeve capabilities?

Yes. Our Miami facility operates automated high-speed sleeve applicators linked with industrial steam tunnels. Controlled steam application eliminates thermal distortion, delivering pristine 360-degree graphic coverage across contoured container profiles.

What is your commercial manufacturing and filling lead time?

Once raw ingredients, certified packaging, and approved artworks are fully received on-site, batch compounding and filling are completed within 2 to 4 weeks. Overall production cycles typically span 4 to 8 weeks door to door based on material procurement lead times.

What is your filling throughput and facility capacity?

ALFA MFG operates 17 specialized fill lines supported by 7,000 gallons of daily bulk compounding capacity. Single-piston units accommodate boutique pilot runs (up to 5,000 units/shift), rotary medium-speed systems produce 10,000 to 20,000 units per shift, and high-speed automated packaging lines achieve up to 40,000 units per shift for mass retail fulfillment.

Do you provide technical documentation for international product registration?

Yes. We regularly prepare export dossiers for global markets including the EU, UK, GCC, Canada, and Latin America. We issue Certificates of Free Sale (CFS), Certificates of Origin (COO), batch Certificates of Analysis (COA), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ISO 22716 cGMP compliance certificates, and quantitative INCI listings.

What analytical and clinical laboratory testing services are provided?

We coordinate certified ISO 17025 third-party laboratory validations including Preservative Effectiveness Testing (PET / USP 51), Microbial Limit Assays (USP 61/62), Accelerated & Real-Time Stability & Compatibility (40°C/75% RH for 3 months), Toxicological Risk Assessments (TRA), Heavy Metals Testing, and Repeat Insult Patch Testing (HRIPT).
